The Austin Spurs are set to open training camp on October 28th via the NBA G League schedule, which you can view here; The NBA is scheduled to have the G League Draft on October 26th at (1 p.m. CST), training camp will conclude on November 7th.
On Saturday, the Spurs officially announced the signing of Riley Minix with the final two-way roster spot; Brandon Boston Jr, Malachi Flynn, and Jamaree Bouyea were waived shortly after. Riley is expected to garner heavy minutes with the Austin Spurs alongside Harrison Ingram, and Sidy Cissoko, although the final roster has yet to be announced.
The NBA G League official rosters must be finalized on November 7th by (5 p.m. ET) as the Tip-Off Tournament officially begins November 8th.

The Austin Spurs previously held a local tryout back on September 7th and posted highlights from the event on X which you can view here. A new era is expected to kick off in Austin as the team officially announced the hiring of new head coach Scott King, who started his professional journey as a video intern for the Indiana Mad Ants, the G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, in 2017.
Although King joined the Detroit Pistons during the 2018-19 season in a similar position with the organization, it was when he joined the New York Knicks as the head video coordinator that Scott King truly found his niche in 2019. Three years later, he was promoted to assistant director of player development, working closely with Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau in the process.
With several new additions for the Austin Spurs, the mantra will truly remain the constant: Hustle, Dedication, and Consistency as these young prospects look to solidify their spots in Austin with the opportunity to carve out a role with the San Antonio Spurs or potentially a new NBA team
